James is a seasoned SHEQ professional with over 20 years of experience across engineering, utilities, and construction. Beginning his career with a modern apprenticeship at British Steel, James has since held key safety leadership roles in high-risk environments including steelworks, refineries, water utilities, and energy sites.
James brings a proactive and structured approach to health, safety, environment, and quality management. He has a proven track record in implementing robust systems, leading audits, and driving compliance across diverse sectors. Currently completing his IPD to become a Chartered Member of IOSH, James is committed to continuous professional development and excellence in SHEQ leadership.
His project portfolio includes safety leadership on major industrial sites such as Tata Steel Port Talbot, Eastman Chemicals, and Birmingham Health Innovation Campus, as well as Principal Contractor roles for water, gas, and energy providers. James has also played a pivotal role in ISO transitions, CDM compliance, and the rollout of health monitoring and training systems.
