COSHH Assessments – The Control Of Substances Harmful to Health

Construction Phase Plans (CPP)
All construction projects need a CPP.
The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 require that certain documents be in place at particular stages in the design and construction process.
This ensures you are CDM compliant.
Simply, the CPP should set out clearly the arrangements for the Health and Safety of everyone carrying out construction work on site.
This can include traffic management, site waste management, fire plans, site induction and Principal Contractor RAMS.

Construction Site and Premises Inspections
Site inspections cover multiple requirements and are designed to ensure compliance with current UK legislation.
Our team of inspectors will collaborate with your site manager / supervisory staff and advise them of any potential breaches.
Site inspections will benefit both contractors and principal contractors. Observations will not be restricted to the company requesting the inspection alone but will include potential breaches identified throughout the inspection visit. Accident investigations
Workplace accident investigation reports are used to identify breakdowns in the Health & Safety systems in a business.
They will identify failures and breaches and identify measures to be taken to make the business safe and compliant.
Accident investigations are also used to defend a business against legal action. The report will identify the measures a business takes to reduce the risks of accidents occurring.
Any accident investigation has the primary purpose of establishing the root cause of any accident.
The root cause is established by following a step-by-step process
It will usually involve the following;
- Examination of the scene of the accident
- Examination of the tasks being performed, the equipment involved or substance and circumstances.
- Interviewing witnesses
- Data collection and analysis
- Inspection of current documentation for Health & Safety particularly as this relates to the accident.
- Production of a comprehensive report identifying the root cause and measures to be taken to avoid a repeat occurrence.
- To determine whether a RIDDOR is applicable.
