Refurbishment of Grade II listed power house, rolling mill and laboratory buildings on the former Hafod Copperworks site, Swansea

Points to Note:

Access and maintenance to the listed roof space, DSEAR assessments, listed building consents, difficult cleaning and maintenance strategy, disabled access to the listed building to enable mobility impaired users the same experience.

How the project was delivered successfully:

Green Hat held regular liaison and discussions with the client throughout each RIBA stage to ensure that the refurbishment and fit out was executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with legal requirements. Additional care was taken with due consideration to the Grade 2 listed building status. Green Hat balanced design creativity, historic preservation, and health and safety considerations contributing to the successful completion of the project to the satisfaction of all parties.
