In early 2013, Andrew made the decision to establish a construction consultancy support services business. He recognised that there were dramatic improvements to be made in the support of the construction industry.
He wanted to help businesses raise their game and prevent unnecessary project delays, wasted money and loss of profits, time and resources.
So he focused on efficiency, profitability, sustainability and performance.
The challenge was then how to deliver this to an industry notorious for being reluctant to embrace change.
Thus, the first goal was to become a catalyst for change.
The first core service was delivering Health & Safety solutions to local companies in the construction supply chain.
They developed templates and systems for CDM 2015 documentation. Producing the right paperwork at the right time in the right format was the aim. Detail and accuracy were paramount.
This quickly expanded to providing the same systems and documentation to guide businesses through various certification schemes and successfully gaining ISO accreditations.
Today, Green Hat Consulting is a multidisciplinary consulting company that offers four integrated services to the construction supply chain. Stakeholders include Architects and Designers to Principal Contractors and to clients themselves, such as Housing Associations and Local Authorities.
Each service focuses is on providing solutions to save time, money and resources and prevent project delays.
This focus means
- Listening – acting on client feedback
- Utilising the latest technology– researching Saas in construction
- Strategy Driven Solutions -to construct excellent buildings that will leave a lasting legacy to communities
- Saving time, money and resources for clients
- Sustainable Operations – staying in the game is the focus – not outdoing the ‘competition’.
Today, they offer the original health and safety services as a retainer option. This allows businesses to pick the H&S services that suit their particular operations. This has proved both cost effective and freed up so much time for businesses.
Time they could better use for their core operations.
Today, construction is becoming more complex.
Sustainability, carbon reduction, climate change rules and regulatory changes – things not considered 10 years ago.
Simplifying the complex through systems and processes has always been on our agenda.
Is there an easier way to spot problems upstream to avoid a catastrophe downstream?
These are some things we think about daily.
We try to think more, so you can think a little less.
We are all about saving you time, money and hassle.
