Two Key New Board Appointments to Our Leadership Team
Welcome to James White & Emma Browning.
James is appointed as Chairman of Green Hat Consulting, after years of providing business consultancy to us which has helped drive our recent growth.
Emma is appointed as a Non-Executive Director after providing us with invaluable service in HR.
So without further ado — here is a quick introduction to both Emma & James.
Emma has over 22 years of experience in HR.
She specialises in helping businesses scale – up and creating vibrant, productive, and empowering work cultures.
Emma’s company, Meraki HR Solutions Limited has provided outsourced HR services to us at Green Hat and she now joins our board team as a Non -Executive Director.
We feel very fortunate to have secured Emma’s knowledge, experience, and, expertise to help us expand our business operations in the future.
Here’s Emma on her HR philosophy ;
“I like to think that we offer more than your traditional HR consultancy; being commercially astute with an excellent appreciation for the integral role that HR plays in the overall success of a business.
We also enjoy a bit of a challenge, so if something is holding up your business plans, you can bet that it’s something to do with your people, and we will find out what it is that’s holding you back and resolve it together.”
Emma is in her own words, very much an “outdoors girl” and “loves walking by the sea.”

A warm welcome to James White who has been appointed as the Chairman of Green Hat Consulting.
James’s appointment comes after acting as a business & marketing consultant to us for many years.
He has been instrumental in the growth of our business, and as Chairman will now oversee our future development as we move to the next stage of our business journey.
James has strong links with Swansea and was born in the city before moving away and starting his business career.
So what made him take on this pivotal role?
“I have worked with Andrew and the business over the last 5 years and have supported the team in their growth to become a £1m business. When Andrew and I spoke about the opportunity to become more actively involved in the business and lead the board, I was delighted to accept.”
Through his advice and guidance, James has quadrupled the size of our business in Green Hat over the last 4 years.
We are confident that his insights and support are going to allow us to continue that growth in the near future.
Even though he is not from a construction background, his commercial thinking and understanding of customers and their challenges have helped us develop services that resonate with our target market.
The goal is to double the size of the Green Hat team and James has been focused on building a service team that can consistently deliver our services throughout the UK.
In his spare time, James is a keen low-handicap golfer (he stressed low handicap, not me!) and is a keen football and cricket fan. He was born in Swansea and remains a life long fan of the Swans.
