Typical Requirements for SSIP Accreditation.
Quite often clients approach us at Green Hat asking for urgent accreditation to one of the SSIP schemes. These are usually the likes of CHAS, Alcumus SafeContractor, Constructionline Acclaim, SMAS, Exor etc.
We are approached due to a client request for SSIP often to get on a public sector tender list at PQQ stage or a principal contractor asking for SSIP for subcontractors via their own internal prequalification process.
In order to progress with the SSIP application, there are various pieces of information that we will require, these include:
Number of employees
Policy Statements particularly health and safety, environmental, quality.
Fire Risk Assessment
Insurance Policies
Latest Accounts
Training Matrix
Training evidence e.g. cards, certificates, manual handling, working at height, NVQ etc.
Asbestos Awareness Certificates
Toolbox Talks Evidence
PAT Testing Evidence
Method Statements
COSHH Information
Evidence of Site Inspections
You may already have a lot of this information available but may need some help in organising it for presentation. If you do not have certain information such as policies, training matrices etc then Green Hat can help you develop these.
The above information will typically satisfy the requirements of CHAS, SMAS etc. but for enhanced accreditation levels such as Constructionline Gold additional information is usually required such as:
Equal Opportunity and Diversity information
Environmental Management
Quality Management
Building Information Modelling (BIM)
Supplementary Questions – A wide range of specialist queries depending on the client or type of works you are being assesed for.
